Statement der Band:
With a heavy heart, we must announce that we cannot perform this tour because of the fvcking Ministry of Culture, which blocked everyone’s permits to leave for the cultural, journalistic, science, etc, events.
As they wrote:„Due to gaps in national legislation, there have been numerous cases where persons who received permission from the State Border Service to temporarily travel abroad under a letter of assistance from the Ministry of Culture did not return to Ukraine within the established time limits.„We, as a band, as 1914 wanna to ask for forgiveness from all our fans, every venue and promoter who fvcked up hard with the tickets, promotion, etc, our booking Napalm Events, which worked hard to make this tour possible, band Katla, and everyone who supports us.We understand that tour cancelation is a horrible reputation killer, and as a band and as a project, we are deadlier than we are alive in the face of promoters, fans, venues, and festivals.
Excuse us for our ministry of culture.

Unter dem Namen Anthems for the Doomed Youth gehen die ukrainischen Death-Doom Metaler 1914 auf Europatour, beginnt am 27.02.2025 in Warschau, von wo aus sie die Tour durch 21 Städte in 8 Ländern führt, darunter auch 10 Auftritte in Deutschland. Auf der Tour werden sie dabei von der dänischen Doom Metal Band Katla begleitet.
Die Band 1914 wurde 2014 im ukrainischen Lwiw gegründet. Die Band benannte sich nach dem Jahr des Beginns des Ersten Weltkriegs, der auch das thematische Grundgerüst der Songs stellt. In der Musik mit Elementen Doom-, Black- und Death-Metal thematisieren sie die Schrecken des Krieges. Nach 3 Studioalben, zuletzt Where Fear and Weapons Meet, 2021 unter Napalm Records veröffentlicht, ist die Band aktuell im Studio und arbeitet am neuen Album, das auf den Titel Viribus Unitis hören wird und noch 2025 erscheinen soll.
Die dänische Doom Metal Band Katla, nicht zu verwechseln mit gleichnamigen Bands, wurde 2018 gegründet und veröffentlicht am 21.03.2025 ihr Debutalum Scandivian Pain, ebenfalls über Napalm Records. Die Dänen sind in den vergangenen Jahren schon gut herumgekommen und waren unter anderem schon mit Crypta unterwegs.
