Spillflower: A leap into the world of modern metalcore
Welcome to Spillflower – where we explore the boundaries of metal while finding our own melody. Our music is a fusion of progressive elements and the raw energy of metalcore, wrapped in low-tuned guitars and rousing breakdowns.
Who are we?
We are Spillflower, a group of musicians who share a passion for progressive metal. With a female singer and a shouter at the helm, we bring a unique diversity to our songs. Inspired by greats such as Spiritbox, Meshuggah, and Sleep Token, we are forging our own identity.
How do we sound?
Our music is a mixture of heaviness and melody. We love to play with complex structures while delivering powerful rhythms and catchy melodies. With low-tuned guitars and multi-layered vocal dynamics, we create a unique soundscape that captivates the audience.
Editorial commentary:
I didn’t know the band until the Metal Up Your Life 19, which turned out to be a mistake. The band played first, but for me, they were the positive surprise of the evening. They won me over immediately, and the rest of the audience too. Even though the band has only been around since 2023, you wouldn’t know it, and they are not afraid to interact with the audience both during and after the concert, where they engage with everyone and are grateful for feedback. Will they ever reach the heights of those who inspire them? We’ll see. In any case, I think they will go their own way and can be quite successful if the right pieces of the puzzle fall into place.
