alqemiste is a 5-piece German metalcore band from Regensburg, Nuremberg and Augsburg. Their unique music fuses innovative synths and bone-crushing breakdowns with an explosive light show and sweat-inducing energy that will have you moshing your heart out. “The energy in the room when everyone’s sweating and going crazy just can’t be compared to anything.”
Editorial commentary:
alqemiste is a band that I discovered more or less by chance while I was on the road as a photographer at a local show in my city. The band is characterized by an extraordinary combination of synthesizers, autotune, normal clean vocals and intense screams and growls, which is also convincing live.
Musically, alqemiste play Nu-Era Metalcore, which can be seen as a combination of Nu-Metal, Trap and Metalcore. The focus of alqemiste is on hard tracks, which are perfect for moshing, but also invite you to listen. Lyrically, important topics are dealt with here, such as ADHD. Live, alqemiste also bring a lot of energy and persuasive material with them. The guitarists and bassists really heat things up, while the singer throws hard screams around our ears. The light show is not to be neglected either, as it accompanies all the rhythms and synth passages very well and is the cherry on top of the live cream cake.
All in all, alqemiste is definitely worth a listen and a big recommendation from me.
