Editorial commentary:

When I think about Cumulo Nimbus, it’s always a bit like a relic from another time. I saw the band many years ago as an opening act. As an opening act for whom? I don’t remember. All I know is that I liked them and played the music a few times at home afterward, but at some point it disappeared from my mind until the announcement of the Tanzt! Festival 2024! The most exciting thing about this six-piece band is their music, which, although it veers strongly towards medieval rock, is a little more in the direction of Renaissance rock.
Well, why had I lost sight of the band? As someone who mainly experiences music live, a band that stops or takes a break is quickly out of mind, and unfortunately this was the case with Cumulo Nimbus, the band disappeared from the scene in 2014 and only played their revival show in the summer of 2023. My first contact with their music again was in November 2024 before the Tanzt! Festival, when I listened again and realized how cool I thought the band was back then. The band is currently working on new material, which means we can look forward to what awaits us, and maybe you and I will see this band more often again.
