The band about itself:
Irdorath is one of the leading acts of the new wave of Slavic pagan folk, delivering an original and powerful live show rooted in Belarusian mythology.
Since 2023 Irdorath has been based in Berlin. Before relocating, the band had already built a decade-long background: three studio albums and appearances at major European festivals, including Wacken Open Air. This path was abruptly interrupted when, in 2020, the musicians took part in protests in Belarus against the Lukashenko dictatorship, after which they were arrested, recognized as political prisoners and spent two years in prison. After their release the band was forced to flee to Germany, where a new chapter of life and creativity began.

An Irdorath gig is a delight not only for fans of pagan folk music, but also for anyone with an interest in mythology. In a truly unique way, the band succeeds in weaving the myths and legends of their homeland into their passion for music. Above all, their melodies convey one thing in abundance – deep emotion. Even without understanding Belarusian, the message carried by each song remains strikingly clear. It is through this warmth, combined with their music, that Irdorath consistently touch the hearts of their audience.
I have already had the privilege of attending two of these remarkable performances. After the first concert, I was completely captivated by the wealth of new impressions it left behind. By the second, it felt as though I were returning to celebrate with old friends. The band’s magic lies in their extraordinary ability to create a profound sense of connection through their music. Every concert possesses its own unique and intimate atmosphere, making their performances particularly well suited to smaller venues.
For me, Irdorath are one of those bands whose concerts are always worth attending.
