Band of the week 44/2026
Origin: Tallinn, Estonia
Genre: Metalcore
Hier geht’s zur deutschen Version.
The band about itself:
Hailing from Tallinn, Estonia, metalcore quartet Pridian channels the intensity of their experiences and emotions into a distinctive sound defined by dark, heavy grooves, commanding vocals, and cinematic melodies enhanced with electronic elements.
Pridian released their debut EP “Cybergnosis” in 2023, and signed with the heavy music label Century Media Records in September 2024.
With the release of their first full-length album “Venetian Dark” in 2025, Pridian moved further to prove their place in the international metal scene, but also why Estonia’s growing metal scene deserves more light in the future.
Editorial commentary:
Heavy breakdowns, powerful growls, and catchy melodies: Pridian seamlessly blends modern metalcore with electronic sounds and a healthy dose of intensity. With their sound, the Estonian band has long since secured a solid place within the metalcore scene. With their album Venetian Dark, released in 2025 on Century Media Records, the band demonstrates just how diverse metalcore can sound. The Estonian band blends aggressive vocals with melodic hooks, and the whole sound is rounded out by electronic elements. Pridian plays on contrasts, creating a mix that appears dark, hard, uncompromising, and modern all at once. We saw just how well all of this works live at this year’s Summerbreeze in Dinkelsbühl. There, the band played on the Wera-Tool Stage and created an insane atmosphere with circle pits, intense breakdowns, and songs like Out for Blood and Endless – even though it was over 30 degrees. If you’re listening to their album, be sure to check out Near Dark and Idoldust in addition to the tracks mentioned above. These songs showcase different sides of the band and make it even clearer that Pridian doesn’t just focus on being loud—they place a lot of emphasis on catchiness and atmosphere. So if you’re in the mood for a modern metalcore band, Pridian is the right choice for you.
