Band of the week 06/2026
Origin: Bischofsheim / Germany
Genre: symphonic metal
Hier geht’s zur deutschen Version.
The band about itself:
Inspired by modern pop culture and series like „The Walking Dead“ and „The 100,“ we created this complete work of art for your entertainment. Dark and dystopian, yet danceable and captivating. The hard guitar sounds of guitarist Matthias Lenk meet ethereal electronic sounds, dubstep meets rock, and from this emerges music that enchants with its own unique magic. The rich drums of drummer Andreas Lenk merge with electronic drum samples to create mesmerizing rhythms. Under the guidance of singer and composer Franzi Schäfer, a truly unique passion project has been born, significantly shaped by Kristian „Kohle“ Kohlmannslehner in the Kohlekeller studio.
Editorial commentary:
A unique magic—that sums it up perfectly. It’s something new, even though they’re not trendsetters; it’s postmodern. Situated somewhere between dubstep, rock, and symphonic metal with a touch of pop, it was a real expansion of one’s musical horizons on first listen. The classically trained Franzi always manages to make you empathize, transforming the lyrics into music as a songwriter. Thoughts that women have, themes that also have post-apocalyptic undertones. They even wear rabbit masks as a trademark, but only during the opening track, „Invincible,“ because… well, you’re simply blind underneath them. Crafted by Natalie, who otherwise plays bass with her long, blonde hair flying.
Not a „fifth“ Nightwish—epic, orchestral, but without bloated, complex orchestral arrangements. Often the songs are simply danceable, bringing back those disco vibes, going straight to your ear and becoming instant earworms.
Despite the small budget typical of smaller bands, they make the most of every opportunity. Each single has a video that meets professional standards. They put significant effort into the production, hiring their sister for professional artwork – it’s a great team. And the results, not just musical ones, are impressive. They incorporate many different styles without adhering to any set rules, bring diverse personalities to the stage, and create a cohesive whole.
I hope I’ve piqued your interest. Check out the videos and let yourself be transported to a post-apocalyptic world – clear, no frills. Listen to their recently released debut album, *For Change Is Coming*. As a preview, I’ve linked the video for „This is Life,“ their very first single, below.
