The band about itself:

We make sad music for sad people

Editorial commentary:

Wisborg is a German goth rock band founded in 2017 by frontman Konstantin Michaely (vocals, guitar) and Nikolas Eckstein (guitar, synths). Luc Lacroix joined the band as live drummer in 2019, and Peter Thiele was added as live guitarist in 2023. Since then, Wisborg has been performing as a quartet.

The band combines elements of goth rock, post-punk, and dark wave, which gives them their unique sound. Despite their relatively short history, they have already released four albums: The Tragedy Of Seconds Gone (2018), From The Cradle To The Coffin (2019), Into The Void (2021), and their current album Wisborg from 2024. Since the fourth album, there are also lyrics in German, in some songs they combine both languages.. They are currently working on their fifth album, which they are producing in collaboration with Chris Harms from Lord of the Lost.

Wisborg quickly made a name for themselves on the scene and have already toured with bands such as Stoneman, Schattenmann, and Lord of the Lost – that’s where I first noticed them. They have also played at well-known festivals such as M’era Luna and Amphi Festival and recently toured as support for Peyton Parrish. This year, they are going on their own tour and are also touring as support for Hell Boulevard. A support tour for Manntra is planned for 2026.

In 2023, when Wisborg were the opening act for Lord of the Lost, I already thought they were pretty good – but due to my personal situation at the time, I lost sight of them again. In January of this year, I saw them again as support for Hell Boulevard and was really impressed. They really got the crowd going, and the atmosphere was electric. Plus, the guys are really something to lookt at 😉 I will definitely continue to follow their progress and look forward to seeing them again at one or two live shows this year and the next 🙂
