Editorial commentary:
Seers of Light are a melodic progressive metal band from Budapest, formed in 2022. As winners of the Hungarian Wacken Metal Battle, they were invited to open the international final at Wacken in 2026 on the W:E:T Stage, where they ultimately finished in fifth place. The sextet combines fast guitar riffs with an atmospheric soundscape and powerful vocals.
I saw Seers of Light perform live at this year’s Wacken Metal Battle. I was immediately captivated by the girl power of singer Alexandra Cseri, who impressed with both her stage presence and her voice. Her vocals were accompanied by striking guitars, melodically underpinned by catchy keyboard sounds. Reaching the top five at the Wacken Metal Battle is a tremendous achievement for the band from Hungary and certainly paves the way for the future, so hopefully we’ll be seeing Seers of Light feature more often in festival line-ups in the future.
